Nu Gamma Tau Society, Inc. was established, January 20, 2014, as a national society by three college educators and entrepreneurs., E. Jean Pemberton, Lisa Hannah and Peggy Smith to support the pursuit and completion of college education, to provide career entrepreneurship and to empower the community with service. They were joined by Kathy Steward, Zerritta Worsham, Tiffany Henderson, Erica Coleman, and Erika Molina to complete our beloved eight.
Our beloved eight created programs and activities that promote the organization's three pillars of service:
College Education, Career Entrepreneurship and Community Empowerment.
Since its humble beginnings, Nu Gamma Tau Society, Inc. has inducted more like-minded women who want to make a difference in her community. Along with it's growth in memberships, and chapters, Nu Gamma Tau Society, Inc. has made its presence known through its signature programs that support high school students, women owned businesses, and serve the homeless community.
